On February 28, 2008 the city of Brotherly Love welcomed in it’s newest son to the professional sports family; The Philadelphia Union.

The Founding Fathers of Philly Footy

2 years later in 2010 the dream of pro soccer became a reality. This Founding Season picture hangs proudly in my room, and for the first time in a decade the Union have a chance to lift the Cup. We have that team of destiny feeling after coming back against the Red Bulls in the first round.

This team has been my child for so long, and as a student and lover of the beautiful game it’s only right the soccer gods give the state of soccer a title. For an area that’s produced American stars like Christian Pulisic and Zack Steffen, (both signed to Premier League clubs, NAWT A BIG DEAL) and missed out on signing them to even a 1 year deal, it’s time Philly Footy got some hardware.

Big match for the lads tonight in Atlanta to move onto the Conference Finals. Hoping the Falcons curse started by their obscene celebration after beating the Eagles is still real and somehow lingers to the pitch.

Doop til I God damn Die.
