Golf being back is shockingly fun. Sports were needed and golf delivered last week with an unbelievable Sunday that led to a one-hole playoff in favor of Daniel Berger. I started watching golf consistently around 2 years ago so that makes me an expert. Watching the Charles Schwabb Challenge last week and losing 5 units on impulsive live bets made me feel alive again but it also made me watch every shot and I believe that I have figured out who will win next week at the RBC Heritage. Here are a couple of picks that have great value and are also guaranteed winners. First let’s get started with some matchups.

Matchups:

Schauffele beats DeChambeau +100

Xander has been playing unbelievable golf recently. Last week he was leading the field when bad luck struck. DeChambeau has been very hyped up recently because of the weight that he has put on and his power but Xander has been putting up 63’s consistently while playing with Phil Mickleson in quarantine.

Gary Woodland beats Dustin Johnson -132

Dustin Johnson sucks. All Woodland has to do is make the cut and he will beat Dustin Johnson. Free money here.

Justin Thomas beats Rory Mcllroy +100

Justin Thomas is a stud. In my opinion he is the best golfer on the planet right now. Thomas had a few bad shots that ruined his chances of winning last week, but he was still managing to put up low scores. Rory is a guy that has known to be a guy that gets shook with bad rounds and he is coming off a Sunday where he posted a score of 5 over par, I see him taking those struggles to this tournament as well.

Round 1 Leader: Sungjae Im +3000

Im is a historic first round player, he is in first place of the FedEx Cup standings and he continues to play consistent good rounds as he finished top 10 last week. Im has history of good first rounds so I believe that he has the potential to shoot low and win you some money. VALUE VALUE VALUE.

Top 5 Finish: Jason Kokrak +1000

This pick may be a little out there, but we are looking for value here. We love the big numbers and that’s what we have here, 10-1 odds. Kokrak had a great round last Sunday with a round low 64 and was one putt away from being in the playoff with a chance to win. I think he brings that momentum from Sunday into this week and he has a great tournament.

Winner: Webb Simpson +2300

SIMPson is a wizard with the short stick. This is a course where the short game needs to be phenomenal and Simpson is the guy. A good value pick here. Simps are winning this week. All the simps out there this one is for you.
