Wednesday was a tough one, but like any great gambler, I’m onto the next day. Thursday is the last day of weekday soccer, so let’s go out with a bang before the weekend hits.

EPL

BIG GAME ALERT! We got Man City going up against the new champions in Liverpool. Although it would be better if Liverpool hadn’t won the title before this, it’ll still be a world-class match. I’m by-passing the 2.5 goal over, and I’m being bold and going with the Over of 3.5 goals at +155. Both of these two are addicted to scoring goals, it’s a no-brainer.

La Liga

Espanyol is the worst team in Spain, and their opponent, Real Sociedad, is a team looking to continue it’s push toward European competition. Fading the little guy here, and taking Sociedad ML at +105, and Sociedad -1.5 at +220.

Real Madrid caught another gift with Barcelona’s draw against Sevilla two days ago, but now they have to answer the bell against a 5th placed Getafe side. A side that hasn’t suffered a loss in their last 4 games. Still taking the Real Madrid big boys with a 1H ML at -125 with my lone pick for this game.

Serie A

I think I’m in love with Atalanta. They are the best team to watch on TV. They play soccer the way you would play it on FIFA, with reckless abandonment, but with a heavy touch of brilliance. Napoli are staunch defensively, but I’m still going with the over of 3 goals at -120 odds. Atalanta could get 3 on their own if they really wanted to. My book doesn’t have this prop bet, but if your book does, throw down a wager that there will be a PK in this game. Yesterday’s games saw a total of 7 goals scored off of PK’s. Those Italian refs love the drama that awarding a PK does for a match.
