September was an average month. I didn’t do the math but I didn’t pay out my bookie last week, so I know I’m barely up. October is when soccer starts in my eyes. Soccer, like football, is a fall sport. October is where you see what a team is made of. Big October opening weekend, let’s fill those pockets with some pounds.

Saturday

Only 4 games on Saturday’s slate, and I’m on 2 of the games. First game I’m all over is Man City/Leeds. Man City got embarrassed by Leicester City last week, so expect them to bounce back big. Not taking any ML’s here, I’m solely on the Over of 3.5 goals at -120. Man City could score 4 themselves, and Leeds dropped 3 goals on Liverpool this season. It’s gonna be a goal fiesta.

The second game I’m hoping on is Everton v. Brighton. Everton is a perfect 3-0 (only God knows how), but they are definitely enjoying the start of this season. Give me The People’s Club ML at -135 over the beach boys from Brighton.

Sunday

Sunday is a huge day. I’m talking 6 games huge, so it’s only right that I give out 6 picks on the Lord’s Day.

Let’s start with my Wolves. They are playing Fulham, the New York Jets of the EPL, and are looking to respond after licking their wounds last week against West Ham. Wolves ML isn’t great value, so I’m taking Wolves 1H ML at +105 and Wolves 2H ML at -120. Speaking of West Ham, their 4-0 win over Wolves last week was a fluke. I still think West Ham is gonna be in the relegation fight despite this strong start. That’s why I’m taking top of the table Leicester City to blow their doors off at -150.

Off to the games on Sunday where the big boy clubs play. All over Liverpool -1.5 at -120 against Aston Villa. Villa have looked good considering many expected them to be relegated this season, but I’m still riding Liverpool. The final big boy club game is one that gives me much joy. It’s the Jose Mourinho Reunion Match as his Spurs square off with Manchester United at Old Trafford. I’m taking ManU ML at -105 partially because I think they are the better team, and partially because Tottenham never catches any breaks. They truly are the Philadelphia Eagles of the EPL.

Uh Barney Brit, you only gave us 5 picks… and none of them are ties, what gives? Well kid, I saved the best for last. Taking the 1H draw in the ManU/Spurs game at +115. Truly a Sunday steal of a pick to end the Fade Board for this week of EPL footy.

TLDR:

Everton ML -135, Leeds/Man City Over 3.5 at -120, Wolves 1H ML +105, Wolves 2H ML -120, Leicester City ML -150, Liverpool -1.5 at -120, Man United ML -105, ManU/Spurs 1H Draw +115
