The MLS Cup is officially here. We had the play-in games yesterday which were great, but now we are zoned in to the 1st round. No funny business when the Cup is on the line. Strictly business.
Saturday gives us 2 clashes between Eastern Conference squads. In a noon kick-off between the NYCFC and Orlando, I don’t know how any sane human can bet against Orlando. Yes I know they have some inconsistency in the backline, but offensively they are so creative and talented. I’m not going to be the bozo who bets against Nani and Daryl Dike. Orlando City ML at +145 is my play in the noon game.
At 3 o’clock we have a straight up barn-burner between the NY Red Bulls and the Columbus Crew. I think there will be goals in this one, and ultimately Columbus is gonna be too much for a Red Bulls side that is just a bit incomplete for my liking. Columbus ML -110 and over 2.5 goals at -140.
Moving onto Sunday, it’s time to see if Sporting KC can back up that #1 seed in the West. Normally not a fan of riding the #1 seed in the West, but San Jose isn’t much of a test. Give me Sporting KC, the #1 seed in the West, money line at -150.
The next two Sunday games have me salivating. Colorado finished the season red-hot, and normally you don’t want to see the red-hot team. Colorado are frauds in my mind though, and I think Minnesota kinda has the sauce. Give me the Loons from Minny all day at +145. In the nightcap game, the fact that I can get Portland at EVEN value on the money line is an absolute steal. They could easily win this whole thing, and FC Dallas is as overrated as the Cowboys before the Dak injury.
