What a weekend for tournaments in the world we have. America has the opening round of March Madness, and England has the FA Cup quarterfinals. March gives madness to college basketball, but it certainly has its presence in British soccer. Gear up for a big weekend of sports on both sides of the pond.
8 teams are left. 7 of them are Premier League teams, but the one Championship team is the one whose Cinderella run is going to continue. Bournemouth host Southampton who have been on a cold streak, and I’m not going to be the average Joe who dismisses the Championship side. I’m backing Bournemouth ML +260 because I believe in upsets. I believe in the madness of March, and I believe in Bournemouth. Let them have their Cinderella run, and root for it.
Rest of the picks are saved for the Lord’s Day. The best match of the weekend is Manchester United v. Manchester United. United have shown that they are most likely going to wrap up the 2nd place spout barring any disaster, but they are still unpredictable week-in-week-out. Expect this to be an entertaining one, so take the over of 2.5 goals at -120.
Next pick for Sunday is to be expected. I’m talking about fading Sheffield United. That club has lost any sort of pride that they had remaining. They are a shell of what they were from last season. Chelsea -1.5 at -130 is the easy play for Sunday.
Big day for sports across the pond. Stay positive, and kick it easy fellas.
